HOW IT WORKS
Welcome to the Friday Night Blade Affair! This unique event will provide a distinctive format that benefits collectors and makers.
Upon arrival, please pick up your pre-purchased badge at the registration desk. If you decide to purchase your ticket at the door, a representative will be available to help you at the registration desk.
Your attendee badge will have a unique lottery entry number on the back, automatically entering you into the lottery for all the knives available at the show. This will give you more time to interact with the makers and appreciate their creations.
More Info
If your number is drawn, you will have the opportunity to purchase the knife. However, there is no obligation to buy any knife at the show. Each knife will have five numbers drawn, from 1st to 5th place. The schedule below shows when each place can purchase that particular knife.
The ballroom will have a dedicated table with a random.org lottery drawing for every knife in the room. Five unique lottery entry numbers for each knife will be drawn (1st to 5th place) and written on a card. The cards will be placed in sealed envelopes, and each maker will select an envelope from the basket and place it in front of every lottery knife on their table. An announcement will be made to open the envelopes showing the winners.
The show representatives will confirm the attendee purchasing the correct knife at the proper time from the right maker.
After the lotteries, open-bid (bid up) auction knives will be available for viewing/bidding at the maker's tables, with the conclusion of each maker's open-bid auction knife ending at a dedicated auction time.
Five-minute anti-snipe rules apply.
Once all the open-bid auctions are completed, the final opportunity to acquire a knife from one of the makers will be via a closed-bid (blind) auction. Bids for these knives can be submitted on the maker's table throughout the show. Once the announcement is made that the closed-bid entry auction is closed, each maker goes through their closed bids and announces the winner.
The show will provide complimentary food options and drink coupons for all attendees. Enjoy the festivities!
