The Titanium frame was plated with the Gold used by the Academy Awards for the Oscar statues. One year, Michael Zieba was tasked with finishing the actual Oscar awards, and in doing so, they provide the special Gold they use to create this color temperature. Michael Zieba used that same Gold and the same procedure to finish this knife not only making this a 1 of a kind from Michael Zieba, but it's a 1 of a kind in the history of knife making.

About Michael Zieba

Originally from Poland, Zieba moved to the United States and taught himself the knife-making trade. Though his profiles are minimalistic, he often adds unique aesthetic touches, such as his devil’s tail clips or skull backspacers. He’s also collaborated extensively with Jason Knight, a former contestant on Forged in Fire.
